Ella is just starting to take off in her speaking. It is still a little difficult to understand her, but she can at least get the message across. If you listen closely, you can make out the numbers she is saying.

Hanna was so nice to bring her coveted barbies power wheels over to grammy's house for the girls to play with while we were there. All the kids had fun taking turns driving it. Ella was designated passenger. Soon, the older kids didn't really want to drive the car every moment that they were outside, but Ella still wanted a ride. One day she took matters into her own hands and figured out that she could get it moving by pushing on the pedal. Look out!

I was trying so hard to not laugh so that the camera wouldn't shake. If you catch the "excuse me" at the end, she just tooted.

These videos were from Thursday night and this morning if you're wondering why they have the same pajamas on in all 3 videos. I tend to record more when Erik's away - don't want him to miss all the fun.

Ella LOVES to do pat a cake. She's trying so hard to not be distracted by Avery messing with my hair and yelling.

Here's Avery's jazzed-up version of "I've Been Workin on the Railroad." Maybe this is why the upstairs neighbor blasts her stereo and the downstairs neighbor plays the drums.

blink

At dinner when Erik is home, Ella will blink at him. If he's not there, she won't blink (I think it's her way of showing off for him). It's really the cutest thing.

let's ride!

We've been going to this small basketball court that is in a little nearby neighborhood. It is the perfect place to let Avery ride her tricycle and for Ella to roam in her walker. We knew Ella could manuver the walker well, but she sure surprised us with how FAST she could go without any kitchen cabinets or chairs in her way.

Ella was mystified by this funny kid dressed up as Buzz Lightyear. She chased him all over the court.



Eventhough she's just on a trike, Erik's all about safety first. Besides, she's pretty cute in it.

crawling

Ella started crawling about 2 weeks ago and has gotten pretty good at it. She can move across a room with impressive speed to get to me or anything else that she really wants (in this case it's the microphone).
